Fraunhofer IVV works on fast monitoring and adjustment of heat-seal temperatures

The Fraunhofer IVV institute in Dresden is one of the partners in a project aiming to develop thin-film sensors to monitor the heat-sealing process for plastics films, very close to those films and nearly in real-time.
Over the next couple of months, with sister institute Fraunhofer IWM (Werkstoffmechanik – Material Mechanics) and the German Industry Association for Food Technology and Packaging (IVLV), Fraunhofer IVV will start work on the project, entitled ‘Robust thin-film sensors for in-process monitoring and control of critical process parameters in polymer processing’ (RobInPro).

FH Campus Wien publishes its Circular Packaging Design Guideline

New Austrian IAPRI member FH Campus Wien has contributed its own response to the EU’s Circular Economy Package in the shape of a Circular Packaging Design Guideline.
