Career Start Award 2026 - Awarded to Jia Tan of Hunan University of Technology

The 2026 Career Start Award was selected by a random drawing from the forty-four (44) eligible
first time presenters at the 25^th IAPRI World Conference, hosted by Hunan
University of Technology, Zhuzhou, China. The winner was Jia Tan is who
is PhD candidate at Hunan under the supervision of Prof. Yuejun Liu.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging
Engineering and a Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering.

She presented the paper “Simultaneous Enhancement of Strength and Ductility
n Polylactic Acid Fills for High-Performance Packaging via Mechanical Stretching.”
